Knife Care

  1. NEVER expose to extreme temperatures. If you wish to sterilize blade, use boiling water on blade, not on handle.
  2. NEVER wash knife in Dishwater. Use warm water and mild soap.
  3. NEVER use power grinders/sanders to sharpen. This will cause loss of temper, rendering blade useless.
  4. NEVER pry or throw knife unless for survival sake.
  5. NEVER store knife in sheath for long periods of time without cleaning and lightly re-oiling. Chemicals in leather can cause pitting over a period of time.
  6. IN FIELD USE: clean as much of the blade as possible using grass, leaves and creekwater. When you can, REPEAT step #2.
